Think back to a time when you started reporting to a new manager. It usually takes a while to build a rapport and figure out how to work well together. There’s also a lot of guesswork and assumptions involved by both parties. We saw this happen time and time again. This has nothing to do with the abilities of the people involved. This is just hard stuff for everyone. So we started a trend of managers writing user guides. If the software has guides, then why not complex humans?
The goal is to make it easier to onboard a new member to a manager’s team and reduce friction points. Here are a few of them (we will be sharing more of them publicly soon):
